The Lads Meet Mick Jones

Keith & Ronan got to meet hero Mick Jones at his San Francisco Carbon / Silicon gig. We headed to O'Reilly Holy Grail for a few pints of plain and talked about the old days, mostly his old days.

A true gent, hope to see him again when he comes back to town in October / November. He might do a version of BAD's "I Turned Out A Punk".

The Hooks meet Shane MacGowan

The Hooks attended the recent Pogues gigs at the Fillmore in San Francisco.
Keith & Ronan were lucky enough to meet Mr. Mac Gowan and friends. Shane was in fine form. He was holed up in his hotel room for five days watching Zodiac over and over. Keith & Shane executed a fine rendition of the Patrick Kavanagh tune 'If Ever You Go To Dublin Town'.

Many thanks to Rudie "Can't Fail" (The Clash's former driver) for opening doors.
